 Here at Dig It, it is our goal to provide a safe, happy and stress free experience for all boarders during their stay. To ensure this we have "Dig It Rules" to help us maintain our unique environment. Please know we reserve the right to implement any of the below listed actions without prior notification to owners.
1. Any dog who's personal hygene is less than desirable, MUST be bathed prior to drop off or Dig It will bathe the dog at arrival and charge for the service. This is to maintain the air quality inside the facility for both boarders and staff.
2.Our facility both inside and out is kept clean and sanitized. We provide every boarder with restroom breaks both day and night in our yards. Any dog who continues to mark inside the building will be removed and housed in a large crate when not at play.
3. Dig It is routinely checked and treated by a licensed exterminator for fleas and ticks BUT all dogs must be on a reputable flea/tick prevention program at time of drop off. If fleas/ticks are found or suspected, Dig It will immediately treat the affected dog and owner will be charged for the service.
4.The biggest factor to produce stress in a kennel is continued barking. This not only stresses the dog barking but the other boarders as well. We have implemented a program to eliminate the need for boredom barking by allowing the dogs to run off energy so their time inside is for relaxing and rest. After a short period to allow the dog to acclimate to its new surroundings most dogs will settle down and stop barking, but a few do not. If repetitive, disruptive or dog aggressive barking continues we will use light corrective actions to get the barking to stop. If the dog does not respond, he/she will be removed from the main building. We will make daily efforts to relax and return them to the main building.
5. Any dog who shows serious aggression to any of the boarders or staff will be isolated and owners notified for immediate pick up.
6. For the safety of your dog we require you pull your vehicle inside our gated yard to load and unload your dog. The gate is kept locked so please call when you arrive.
